really?  this guy couldn't think of a question to ask me or say anything that would give me a faint glimmer of hope that he's interested?  is he typing from his iphone or droid that makes it difficult to type?  I copied our emails below

Hi,
Happy New Year. Nice pics. I used to be a runner but had knee surgery. It's not the same for me anymore.

Sorry to hear that . Happy new year

For any benefit of the doubt reason given for his reply - he doesn't know what to say or he's trying to start a conversation, whatever - it doesn't matter in that case, his response is still pathetic and lazy. It sounds more like a quick brush-off so I'm not sure why he responded at all.

If interested and tapping out limited responses on his phone, the very least he could have done is a one sentence question to keep a conversation going such as - Sorry you are hurt, are you running at all these days? If he needs to stall, yet keep you within range, that would do it. So again, as guy, I have no idea why he bothered responding to you at all in the style he did. He's not worth any effort.
