Hi ladies:-)

I have just had such bad luck with men...and I want to give up, yet I keep thinking maybe I can finally find someone. Thought I meet a grerat guy, but his job moved him to Fl, so we broke up. We are now just friends.

A friend of mine told me about eharmony, and I decided to spend the 49.95 and post a profile. Does anyone have any opnions about this site? Any feedback would be great...

From what I have heard from others, while it sounds like a good deal, it really isn't...


Here is what I have heard... You pay the $49.95 and complete the questionairre in order to be matched with someone. Keep in mind that you are not given a means of contacting these men unless it is agreed upon by both you and he. The idea is that eHarmony will send you profile matches that you can contact. The only problem with this is that, unless the other party has also paid the $49.95, you will not be able to contact them nor will they be able to contact you... Hereafter, you are continuously sent matches of non-paying members. The idea here is to get them to pay the fee also.


So, in my estimation, it is not a good way to turn loose of $50!

I've heard it's good and my main advice is keep the email to a bare minimum - two or three, tops, one or two phone calls - brief - just make sure he's not a wacko, then meet for a 45 minute coffee to see if there is any potential. Move on quickly if the man is not willing to meet right away.
