Hi!
This i have some experience with--lol
There are a lot of money scammers on these on line dating services from nigeria and from ghana. Tell tale signs: They can't spell the state they live in, the have pictures of themselves from magazines or standing next to expnsive cars, they immediately fall in love with you!
A few months ago --when i was new to on line dating --i started iming with a guy who immediately wanted my yahoo addy--luckily my instincts tapped in and I said I didn't have one--but we con't iming on the site on a regular basis. About 3 weeks into our connection he posted his picture--it was a girl. Needless to say this guy/girl was from Nigeria. I have heard countless stories about this happening to both men and women from those bth from nigeri and ghana.
Its actually kind of amusing
I get those ALL the time. Block and Delete!!! I get them on practically every site including Myspace. Real obvious they are fakes...pics are of models, bad spelling, worse english. My exhusband got involved online with a gal from Russia. Within a week she was writing I Love You to him. He spent $400 on software for his laptop to learn Russian and even planned on vacationing there in January to meet her. But he works overseas and absolutely could NOT get off until January (this was around November). She suddenly stopped writing him right out of the blue when it became obvious she wasn't going to get her way. If they look too good to be true, they probably are.
