Out of Line?

Met this guy online, took it to instant messenger... A few times he mentioned how envious of other because he has this huge disability, etc. Told him that the only disability was his mind...
Ok, I know it may be harsh but it seemed to me that he just kept using it as a "crutch." Also told me that he needed to have fine girls because this way, others would look at him and wonder how he got such a good-looking girl...
Well he stopped talking to me.
When does calling it like you see it become a bad thing?

No....You were not out of line.
He stopped talking to you because you didn't fall for his line. He has an interesting way of getting plenty of sympathy-f**ks, don't you think?
I remember reading in Jonathan Livingstone Seagull this line, which still resonates in my life: "Accept your limitations, and they are yours to keep". I might be paraphrasing, but that's the way I remember it. It affected me deeply 20 years ago and I still try to keep it in mind.
"When does calling it like you see it become a bad thing?"
Happens to me ALL the time.
Can I ask what his disability was?
