problem calling him

Does anybody else have a problem calling a guy for the first time before you even met? I've been emailing a guy on a site about 3 or 4 times and then he emailed and asked if I wanted to meet sometime early next week. I agreed but he got back to me again a few days later saying that things came up and we won't be able to hook up until the weekend. He gave me his phone # and told me to call him sometime this week to decide on what we'll do. I'm having a hard time actually making the call. I don't even know what shifts he'll be working so I might not even get a hold of him. I emailed my cell # to him today but he might not even read his emails this week. He takes a long time in between to read them. Anyway, that's that and I don't know what I'll do.

I don't like to make the first phone call. If a guy emails me his number, I email him back with mine and a note about some good times to call me.

He's got plenty of time to read his emails between now and this weekend...I wouldn't sweat it.

I hate, hate, hate making that first phone call, but for me, I prefer it over having to "schedule" a call or waiting for one. I live in a big city and I'm out and about a lot. I also don't own a car so it's important for me to have some control over the call AND mentally prepare myself so that I'm in a comfortable private place because I usually don't get home until nearly 10pm.
So yeah it's a problem...but I just bite the bullet and do it.

I do the same thing that Sheri does. I always in turn send my phone number to him. That way I can be a bit more assured that he is truly interested. It works everytime....
