Okay this is it, I'm getting someone to take some pictures this weekend so I can finally get my profile up, but I've got a few questions:

I take horrible pictures, asides from substituting someone elses photo, any tips for taking good pictures?

How many photos do you usually post, I think the main one is usually a head shot, and what else?

take lots lots and lots. that way you will have at least one you like. Personally I think it is helpful to have one full legnth.

Something that I did that really helped is I did my photos right after I got my haircut. that way it was one less thing I had to worry about, my hair looked great and it gave me a confiendece boost...if you dont need a haircut you can always just go in for a style..

I post 2-3. I think a full body shot is a really good idea, especially if you have anything other than "slender" as your body type. Dark colors do seem to photograph better than light.

I don't like seeing group photos so I don't post them. Definitely nothing where you're posing with your arm around another man, whether he's your ex or not!

I don't like my picture taken either. Instead of having someone professional take your pictures (I don't like the glamour shot photos)I bought a good digital camera with a memory card. I have a HP and the card holds about 96 photos. I had my son take pictures of me throughout the day in different poses and different clothing. And also in different lighting (this is important) Take some inside, outside, sunny, cloudy or in a store. Lighting makes a difference.
Head shots is the primary photo. Shoulders and up. With my camera I can crop a picture so I can be seen and there's nothing distracting behind me.
And then there's the body shot. Might as well, they're gonna wanna know. Again, take lots of pictures with different poses. Head looking off your left shoulder that kind of thing.

Red is a good color to wear. Do not wear white. (Well, unless you have a great tan)If you have long hair wear it down. Don't wear too much make-up, but have a good shade of lipstick on. And always SMILE.

Thanks for all the input - I will suffer through the photo session, and trust me they won't be big time glam shots, LOL.
