Rant: Peevets on Match

Just hung up on a guy from Match. It was a first phone call. All he wanted to talk about was sex. Do I do booty calls. Do I sleep around. That kind of stuff. If that is what he wants why doesn't he just pick up a girl in a bar or something? Why go through the steps of putting up a picture and paying for the site. He is obviously one of those people that think that all women online are desperate. What burns me is that there was no indication from his emails that he was this way.
What screening techniques do you use to avoid these types? Are there a series of questions to ask so I can avoid these types?

exchanged few emails with a guy online then he seemed decent so I added him to my MSN.
First time was ok converstation. Next time he used v. obscene language with me and asked me to just cut the whole process short and go "F*&^" at his place!!!
What a jerk. I blocked him the next second and sent an email to the site to complain. consequently they deleted his account.
I now see him online again under a different name but I dont care. I m sure he will meet someone as crapy as he is!!!

I haven't had that experience on match or on yahoo.
I can't really say there are any better sites, but I just found Match to be the worst. I found that eharmony had less of the jerky guys just looking to hook up, but I think that's because they have a hefty pricetag associated with it, but if you aren't in a really "city" environment the hits are slow coming and you can't do a regular search on them, you have to wait until you are "matched" up.
I've never used yahoo.
I used relationship.com which was good but I think match bought them out, then I did eharmony but couldn't keep it up, too expensive...and now I'm on bbwdating I get a lot of hits there, but a lot aren't in my state...I think bbwdating is owned by mydate which would be for someone "smaller" than I! lol
Sally, is this the website you're referring to?
