If you spoke with him by phone for a bit and he didn't seem to be on your wavelength, you're probably right not to pursue things further. There are so many ways for people to be incompatible that it is amazing that anyone connects!!!

Anyway, as long as you look as

When I was OLD, some women's profiles stated how they loved X, Y, or Z team and watch them every Saturday or Sunday (depending whether it was a college or pro team). I avoided contacting them since I have no interest in spectator sports. In my area (Portland, Oregon), college football is big. You had to be either a duck or a beaver (two mascots of the state schools).

Plus I feel that having kids really changes you. I think they teach you not to be so self-centered and more patient. However I am sure people here can share enough counter-examples.

I think it's always helpful to go w/ your gut feeling--when I have ignored it, that's when I have problems.

Yes. Meeting him would make the most sense. Especially if he lives in your town.
Why waste your time texting, as Mark says.

Why haven't you met him yet? The sooner you meet, the better in my opinion rather than establishing this faux electronic relationship.

K_oliver-

Hi. If your online dating photo is similar to the one you post here, you should have no trouble attracting men. You are a good looking woman.

As to this current guy, you mention he is from your hometown. An alternative route

How bad, i.e. blurry or hard to see is the picture he sent you?
