Red Flags in Profiles??

What do you consider red flags when reading profiles? I have noticed a lot of men at the 40 year mark who have never been married or engaged. My friends say this is a red flag. Does that apply to women also? I mean, I am 36 and never married. What information within the profile would make you question or send off alarms?

I don't think a man being 40 and never married or engaged is a red flag at all. Actually, most men I know (married and single), say that a man should wait until they are in there late 30s/early 40s to marry. Most men I meet were really focused on their careers which is why they never married.

I think it's more important to find out "HOW LONG" they have been in a exclusive relationship. A red flag would be if this person could not sustain a long term relationship for 6 months or maybe a year at the very least. When I met my husband through Yahoo Personals, he was 43 at the time and never married. But his last relationship was 9 years in length and the one before that was 5 years, so I knew that he was relationship material, regardless of the fact that he'd never been married.

This guy I have dated twice, & only twice b/c of distance - i am sure we would see a lot more of each other if we could - he seems VERY sincere & interested - may be a GREAT "catch".
