uh, Exactly what about it seems to be a scam?.... (wonders if it's too late to put a stop payment on the check....)

JH - That post made me laugh hysterically. And LG's response made me laugh harder.
Those scams just kill me. And I can't believe how many suckers, I mean people, fall for them. The new twist on this one is you get a choice of being the dude's mother or his wife. I'll have to think about that one and get back to him.

Awhile ago, my daughter worked for a guy who actually fell for one of those scams and ended up losing his business because of the money he sent to get this guy supposedly in to the USA. He was supposed to then get oodles of money for helping this guy - but the ironic thing is that I can't believe her boss was so stupid to fall for the scam! I thought he was a semi-bright guy... But his daddy bailed him out and bought him a new business after he ruined that one....

There was a woman on the news near me recently who fell for one of those scams and lost EVERYTHING she had.

That is really sad about the lady. I hope she has recovered from it. My daughter's old boss had his rich dad to get him started in another business after he fell for the scam and lost everything - I think this was like the third business he had ruined in one way or another. Some kids just never grow up, especially when their parents keep bailing them out...

A lot of you guys will think this is harsh, but these scams are just Darwinism in the purest sense. They weed out the weakest members of the herd.

That said, lg, will you marry me?

Probably if you would be willing to take my kids to the public restroom at every event we attended together? It would probably only be another year or so.

I'll work on getting a nasty case of OCD; then those bathroom trips will be a piece o'cake!

Gotta go wash my hands... gotta go wash my hands.... you kids wanna come??
