Should I Email Him?

I was messaging with a guy on Yahoo for a couple of weeks, usually 4-5 days between emails. In the last email, I asked when he likes to meet someone. I didn't want to seem impatient, but I agree with others here that it's better to get the first meet out of the way. I also made a crack in reference to a comment he made about knowing when to be serious, rather than joking all the time. I responded that I was glad to hear he had a balanced wit. Ha ha. Could he have taken that wrong? He hasn't been on-line for at least a week, but I'm pretty sure he would have gotten my email before he went off-line. He did ask me if I minded waiting a few days between emails, but this has been the longest. I'm interested in the guy, but I'm mainly concerned I may have hurt his feelings or something, because he used to be on-line constantly. I did say something about not having my intellect and emotions very well integrated, which was why I'd always admired people who could program computers, which he does. Could that have sounded sarcastic? The last thing I want to be is mean, I know the stereotypes. It's just that tended to over-intellectualize things for a long time and I still over-analyze at times. Ha ha. It's something I'm working on. I don't know, I just think this guy might take things literally, or I might have said things wrong. Then again, maybe he just met someone, which would be nice for him. Any thoughts on this guy? Thanks.

If he took it wrong, then he's not right for you, IMO.

I got some emails this week I could have taken the wrong way, but I either asked for clarification or gave the guys the benefit of the doubt because email is so easy to misinterpret.

I suppose you could send him one more email, saying something like, "Hey, haven't heard from you in a while, hope you're doing well. Did I say something to offend you? I certainly didn't mean to" and see what happens. But honestly, if he took anything you posted as offensive, he's got a VERY thin skin!

Thanks Sheri. I agree with you. I think I'll wait a few more days then maybe send a friendly email.
