Sigh... Date update
Find a Conversation

OK, this guy is either an incredible player or just incredible. I had an awesome date last night. We went to dinner at this little dive that has great pizza and everyone had told me was a great date place. Had a great time - lots of fun banter back and forth. Then we headed to another bar in a cool area of town. I'd been there before but never knew they had an upstairs section that was a lot quieter and more private than the rest of it. We went up there and ordered a couple drinks and watched the end of the Dallas basketball game. After it was over, we went into one of the rooms - all of them have big old comfy chairs and couches - very cool. So we pick one that had no one in it, sit on the sofa and are acting like a couple of college kids sorta cuddling on the sofa, holding hands, getting in the occasional smooch here and there. We stayed for one more drink and decided to leave. He brought me back home and I invited him in for a drink. We had a fun time mixing up a drink and then cuddled and smooched on the couch some more. He left a little before 1 am!
Conversation always flowed SO well. We have tons in common and seem to have similar outlooks on life. At one point, he said something about how simple this all seemed - meaning just how well we got along and all. He did gentlemanly things like opening my doors, he dropped me off at the door of the restaurant and held an umbrella over my head in the pouring rain to the door and from the bar to the car... It's one of those things that you're almost shocked because it seems almost too good to be true. He kept telling me to not overthink things (my HUGE tendency) and so I'm trying not to. :-)
We texted last night so I knew he got home OK. He works on Saturdays so I'm not expecting to hear from him and I am OK with that. He talked about getting together next week and even said little things about future plans. I know that can sometimes be a red flag, but he seems sincere and for whatever reason, I believe him.
Anyway, we shall see. I am well on my way to being smitten but trying to rein it in! ;-) Gotta get going for now. I have a massage appt in 10 mintues!
