Somebody else's photo!

Has this ever happened to you?

Figuring that men were getting bored with seeing the same photo of me on Yahoo for five months, I had a number of photos snapped of me so that I could put something new up. After looking at the resulting prints, I thought that the most flattering photo was one taken of me sitting at a table with an acquaintance. Trusting Yahoo to crop the photo, I submitted it as my main pic. A few days later a friend alerted me to the fact that my profile was now online...with the friend's photo!

It was amusing that no one cropping the photo had glanced at all my other photos: they would have easily seen which one was me. Well, I'd been getting such a low number of responses anyhow that I am sure the photo didn't kill any chances I had. I am rather certain that my acquaintance is not doing OLD--wouldn't it be funny if someone told her, "Hey, I saw your photo on Yahoo!"

No it has never happened to me but I usually crop my pictures before I post them. I have seen so many pics online with 2 people on them and some post just the one that you find yourself wondering which one is the person.

I wouldn't blame the pic, you know doing OLD, sometimes you just have a slow week in regards to responses.

Well, I would have no idea how to crop a photo myself--I'm thrilled if I get the photo onboard at all! This partcular photo could be cut in half and one would never know that there was another person in the photo, especially as Yahoo made a head shot of it. (I totally hate those photos with parts of someone else's body in the pic.) But in this case, I had already had several photos of me up for months, and this other person looks nothing like me--also, she's about ten years older! So anyone who DID click on the photo would have seen all these other photos that weren't the same person as the main picture.

No, I don't think I lost any dates because of having the wrong photo up for a couple of days--Yahoo has been very dead for me for months now, so I'm going off it for awhile.
