Something Someone Said in Chat Room

I have been chatting in a divorce chat room for almost 3 years now. Most, including myself, go there to vent, seek support, get advice and not to hook up. People do flirt in there. I have known people in there for long time. A few people have met in real life and have relationships (some long-distance), and even have gotten married.

One guy sent me a private message and signed off before I could answer. Here is what he said:

"i cannot do it now or soon but i would like to meet.. i wouldnt consider it 'meeting' u i would consider it finally getting to spend some time around somebody i love to death"

He has said "I love you" once before. ButI doubt he "loves" me. We never met. We have spoken on the phone before. I have spoken to men and women from that chatroom as well.

What do you all think of this?

I say go ahead and meet him but keep your eyes open as the "I love yous" are WAAAAAY premature.

If you are not from UK, I would be wary of the expression "love to death" (in UK it apparently means something like "I think I kinda like you").
