A couple of years ago, I met a woman on the net. An old, now-defunct ivillage message board, in fact. We were very close in every way. She's now divorced, and has met someone else who she's now moved in with. There are children involved. We are no longer in contact, as of a couple of weeks ago.
I suppose these things can go in any direction, but this one was incredible. We truly are spiritually connected, but sometimes it's simply better for one of the parties to back away. Which is what happened.
This two year experience was beautiful in every way. I'm incredibly happy for her, and can't be anything but thankful she was and still is a part of my life. When I say she still is, I mean spiritually. I think of her constantly, and can't help but smile when I do. In many ways, I am where I am in my life because of her.
My point is this. I could never have envisioned something like this experience before it happened. We have to stay open to anything and everything. Stay excited about life, and always expect the best! With the right attitude, nothing is impossible, and everything IS possible! Be grateful for everything that comes our way, and understand that there are lessons to be learned in even the smallest things if we just look for them. Doors will close in life, but bigger doors will open. Our attitudes define us. If we could all understand that, we'd all be much happier!
