Can you all tell me alittle about yourselves? I want to make sure I know everyone here. I think I know most of you, but if there are any newbies who would like to take this time to introduce themselves again, or some of the veterans who want to share something about themselves, please do so. I would love to know about you all. Alittle about me: I am work most times when I post here. I am a receptionist, not by choice. lol When I left my husband, I was a stay at home mother and had to enter the work force with a gap in my resume. It was rather difficult, since being a stay at home mother was not seen as a job. So, I took this job and it pays well. SO, it works for now. I make it work. I came from the healthcare industry prior to marriage and children. I left to be a mom, and a wife, and have not been able to get back. So, here I am. I am also an aspiring writer, therefore any job for now will do until I can live off my work. So, as some of you may know, I am mother of two little boys, 5 and 2. I am currently pursuing a long distance relationship with someone in Scotland. I met Mark on line three months ago. I live in Tennessee. Yes, we are having terrible weather here, and have had over 30 deaths in the state due to tornadoes. SO, not a good place to be right now. Anywho, Mark is coming over for a visit this June. It was going to be this month, but there are more restrictions on travel then we both imagined. So, anywho. So, thats me. Now, tell me about all of you. I am interested. Please, I hope to see everyone here post at least one thing about themselves.

I'll hop on! Usually more a lurker here since haven't been involved in an online relationship in quite a while. I have been seeing someone I met through work tho. I posted about him ages ago so doubt anyone remembers. Having slow goings with this guy and I realize I should be more patient but when you like a guy sOo much, it's hard. Patience has never been one of my virtues. I met him in November, at our town's Thanksgiving parade. We were both balloon handlers, randomly placed to march side by side (our company was a sponsor of one of the balloons and we were volunteers thru our company). It was instant chemistry, I know for me, suspect highly for him as well. We took things very slow, which I'm not saying is bad, but it's nothing like any relationship I've ever been in. We didn't even have our first kiss until March. Sometimes I pull back, sometimes he does. We still don't really act like a couple. Not sure if it's nerves on my part or his or both but we hang out more as friends really, then somehow end up making out and I think, how did this happen? haha. I'm not terribly concerned that we define what we are. I just enjoy his company, hope he does mine, and it's not more complicated than that. But every so often, I get a surge of emotion with him and then can't stand that I don't get to see him more often and go absolutely bananas and wonder how I dare call myself a calm and collected woman. Sort of become some impatient, giddy school girl, which is my current state of emotions and he has absolutely no idea. *sigh* dating is such a roller coaster, up and down, up and down....

Thank you for posting! Nice to know you. You know what they say, "First friends, then lovers" ....it is always better that way. Goodluck with the guy. Sounds promising.

Well, Tuesday is almost over...but I'm home now for the first time today *sigh* I had class from 10-7:15 and then we went over to the neighbors to see her new baby. She is just the cutest little thing I've ever seen! Makes me want one (don't worry, I'm not actually going to have one...yet lol). Anyways....about me. Well, I don't know if I told anyone on here I got a new job. I babysit 3-4 days a week for these 2 little cuties. Trevor is 14 months (but in 2T clothes...fat babies are sooooooooo cute!!!) and Callie will be 4 in June. They are both so cute and incredibly intelligent. Sometimes they can be a handful but for the most part they are good kids. Um, I'm currently not attached to anyone, but there are a few guys that I talk to that are total sweethearts, but nothing has developed...You'll be the first ones to know if something does though :) For now I'm just having fun being 20 and looking forward to the end of my 2nd year of college....only one more week! Then I have a week off and I'm taking a 4 week online summer class. After that the rest of the summer is mine...yay!!! :) Thanks for asking Gail!

Oh Carol! How could you think we'd forget! You know, I absolutely love that slow blossoming...you know, Steve and I didn't have our first kiss until 6 months into our relationship hehehe (ok..so ours wasn't by choice but I still love it lol)

Enjoy the giddy's sweetie and if it's going too slow for you then give it a prod!

Tuesday is almost over, but better late than never, right?

I'm the mother of 4 very bright, happy children. My oldest son is 17 and play percussion in the high school band. Their drum line was voted top in state this year. They did part of their routine blindfolded and it was awesome!! My daughter is 14 and also in band. She plays clarinet, bass clarinet and the school is paying for her to have private lessons so she can play the bassoon in the high school band next fall. She's also an aspiring actress. My little guys are 9 and 8. Both play soccer. They're in the "let's see who can beat the other worse" stage...lol.

I'm currently not working so I'm home a lot. I plan to go back to school this fall to study forensic science. It's been years since I've gone to school so I don't know how well I'll do, but I'm going to give it my all. I'm also in love with a very special man. Don and I were just meant to find each other. There were too many coincidences to our meeting for it to be anything other than fate. We both agree that this is right. I'm happier now than I've been in a very long time and he has a lot to do with it. Still working around the distance between us, but I see this being a life long journey.

Well...that's me and my life. Thanks for asking, Gail!

Hi Gail and everyone!

Im fr. the Philippines , nice tropical country,it's summer here right now, temperature ranging from 30 to oozing hot of 34 degrees Centrigrade (around 90-92F, if i guess it right).

I own a lil store here at our place, i do Desktop Publishing, i accept typing jobs, i make all kinds of Invitations, and i have here other 4 pc's for rent (cyber cafe)left by my sis when her whole family migrated to Saudi Arabia. So most of the time, if i got no work im online. I also sell cross-stitch materials n some other stuffs..

Im 35, single never been married, no kids, living with my mom. I'm into an overseas relationship with a man fr. Michigan. He is 11 years older than me, but it's not an issue for both of us. We have 12 hour time difference, not a problem though coz when i start my work in the mornin, he is already at home back from work. And b4 he goes to work in the morn, its my time to pack. So we meet 2x each day except Sunday, my off..

I recently made a crosstitch for him (eagle's eye), sent him via mail and he finally got it and he loved my work. I'm starting a new one, finding time to make it just for him, this time its a fish since he n his son love fishin'. I wonder what's next...

Well, it isnt Tuesday anymore but I thought I'd jump in here. I've posted just few times, I generally lurk. I met my love online about 10 months ago now thru an online community. Since then we have talked daily. I truly believe I have found the "one" We wont have an opportunity to meet till December. In the meantime we talk online and over the phone, use the webcams and send packages back and forth. About me... I'm a (soon to be) twice divorced 30something mother of 3 girls. I work as a receptionist and generally frequent the boards while at work or after 10 in the eves. Its great to know that my situation may not be so unique as it seemed to begin with. I found this site with articles about Online relationships today: http://www.lovingyou.com/content/groups/online/?ID=articles Perhaps some of you have already seen this. It seems most of what I find out there is geared towards people dating online thru personals and such and then meeting quickly. some of these articles seemed to be geared more toward the long term olr/ldr. seems I have my reading lined up for me this afternoon ;-) I read a post the otherday on another site that mentioned reading an article which stated relationships which begin online can actually have a higher success rate, and that the couple generally has better communication skills. Has anyone ever come across such? I was actually searching for the article they had cited when I came across 'Lovingyou.com'

Seems I went off on a tangent there for a moment :-P I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hey Winter!! Glad you could post that for us all. Thank you. On line meeting does seem to have a higher success rate with communication, yes. I would have to agree. Since you are not concentrating so much on the physical, and more on the emotional side of things and getting to know the person. Not what they look like. It was hard for me to distinguish lust from love when I was younger and now that I met mark, it is all so clear to me. He answers so many questions about love for me. I am so happy you found out all that information. Glad you could post.Thank you for telling me about yourself, Winter.
