Yeah, i was probably reading to much into it all - my date last nite, cancelling b/c he was sick. What you guys said made sense - he had been sick earlier in the week & he did sound very apologetic about having to cancel. & although i still think he should have made

Something that has helped me with this whole online dating thing is to be cautiously optimistic. Trust what someone is telling you until you see (or vibe) otherwise. Innocent until proven guilty, you know?

Watch the actions. The words mean nothing. ;o)

There's one big caveat to that...if you don't like the words, then you need to pay attention to the words over the actions!

We often see posts along the lines of "I don't understand...he said he didn't want a serious relationship, but he *acted* like a BF...and then when I asked him about a commitment, he reminded me he didn't want anything serious. Why would he *act* like a BF if he didn't want to *be* one?"

Hence the caveat!

Yeah, you're definitely right about that... I was taking it more from the point of a person saying sweet things and the actions not matching, but you're right. Usually a person will tell you the real deal within a few minutes of meeting them if you listen. :o)

Thanks for adding that!
