Without sounding judgmental of your friend, I have to say I am a bit surprised but also a bit happy that a dating site would throw someone off if he dated as many people as he says but called very few back. I don't think most people are looking for "serial daters" but that is what many guys end up being. They are interested in no one long-term and are not serious about a relationship. Women are fed up with the men who do this, and online dating ends up being a waste of time for anyone who is trying to find a long-term relationship. I know I am still burned so badly that I have never gotten back into it for months now.
There may be more to the story than him just never calling anyone back though. If they got enough complaints about him (even if it was too many one-time dates), then I might have some hope about these dating sites trying to screen against the "players" out there. Trouble is, it might take a while to figure out who is truly a player and who just simply does not click with certain people. If he did date 200 women, and he still found no one, I would suspect he has some personality issues. I honestly would like to see all of the dating sites be a bit more proactive when it comes to the matches without taking away choices for people. There are some red flag guys (and probably women as well) who should not be on a dating site. But, there will always be arguments about how to juggle the screening process. I just know that many women continue to get hurt and used by so-called honest men looking for a LTR (in their profile) but actually do not want that in real life.
