Thursday Threes and Easter plans??

For Thursday and I know I am early, but I will not be able to post this as soon as I want to tomorrow. SO, im cheating alittle. lol(It has to be thursday somewhere right now. It is where my Mark is in Scotland.) Also, I just thought I would see what everyone was doing for Easter...if anything special. Me and my two boys will go on an Easter Egg Hunt together as we do every year. I will have an easter basket decorated Easter Sunday awaiting them when they get up. I usually try to attend church services that morning, but I am not sure how it will work out. Its alot to get two little boys ready in the morning for school, much less to attend church looking nice and spiffy! lol SO, this brings me to my first question for the board as CL..woo hoo! lol
1.What sort of tradition do you and yours have for Easter Sunday? Or, in other words...how do each of you celebrate?
2.If you have a SO on line or off, how will he or she be involved in your holiday? Or will you spend time on line with them at all that day? Or on the phone maybe?
3.Just a funny question, but how do you feel about the invention of an "easter" bunny, hunting for eggs, and the prizes in the eggs(if plastic, of course)?
Personally, I am not sure where this idea came from, but I have participated in the egg hunting for years, and now my children do the same. I just dont get how the whole religious side of Easter plays into the candy, the eggs, and a bunny??? Im being niave I am sure, but if anyone can answer some of these for me, would be great. Just for fun!! Thursday 3's, what do you think? No? Comments welcome. Marie, any comments? Would you all like to do something daily or simply whenever. I am just trying to spice things up!! Thanks!

1.What sort of tradition do you and yours have for Easter Sunday? Or, in other words...how do each of you celebrate? My mom always makes Easter dinner and we always celebrate with my Grandpa, my great Aunt, and my parents close friends come over because all their family lives in Iowa, my mom always makes Ham and mashed potatoes and something with pineapple in as well as a few other odds and ends. Me and my brother get a few little presents on Easter morning...we're too old for Easter baskets though lol, so they just get wrapped :)
2.If you have a SO on line or off, how will he or she be involved in your holiday? Or will you spend time on line with them at all that day? Or on the phone maybe? Well, before I answer this, I should tell you all that me and Brandon are going to give things another try, when I talked to him the other day he felt absolutely horrible and has been working A LOT...thats why he wasn't around, we're going to start calling each other on a daily basis and just work a lot more on communicating our feelings and not get so serious already......Now, to answer the Q lol...I'm sure I'll talk to him at some point throughout the day, although, I'm not sure what he's doing for the holiday.
3.Just a funny question, but how do you feel about the invention of an "easter" bunny, hunting for eggs, and the prizes in the eggs(if plastic, of course)? Oh I think its so cute! When I was little I loved Easter egg hunts and visiting the Easter Bunny at the mall :)
All I know about easter is that cadbury makes the best candy shell covered chocolate eggs - not the kind with the goopy stuff in side - more like a big m&m - but alas on passover corn syrup is out so most regular candy is out so I ate a lot of them today (they are hard to find!)
Have a good holiday, all!

I've been watching what I've been eating all week, since I know I'll be making a pig of myself this weekend. Lately I've been having a slim fast drink here and there to replace a meal. Well...yesterday while Steve and I were out, we stopped off at a store to get some milk and I asked him to go in since it was so cold and windy. I reminded him to get SKIM milk (he's made the mistake of picking up 2% before) When I saw him coming out of the store I could see through the bag that he bought 2%!! lol He told me that they didn't have any and I didn't believe him..thought he was just being too lazy to look, so I went in to make sure. Sure enough, he was right. He just couldn't see what the difference would be. I'm telling him there is NO way I'm going to mix THAT milk with slim fast...lol You should have seen us in the van going back and forth on this.lol Anyway...he went in and exchanged it for the 1% that they had and I was ok with that, although not what I really wanted. So later that night, we're in bed watching tv and a commercial for easter chocolate of some sort came on, and I asked him if he was going to get me some chocolate for Easter. Well...the look he gave me...lol..and he said.."You can't drink 2% milk because it has too much fat in it but you want CHOCOLATE!!??? lol
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
