Tuesday Twos?
6

1. If you were moving into a new place and needed to purchase a washer and dryer, and only had limited funds, what would you do? What do you think is too much to spend on a used washer and dryer? I say 250 is the limit. lol (Yes, this question is to help me directly! lol)

2. Any recipes?

*** Mark will be here in 6 weeks and I need some help with any fun recipes. I want to make him a nice dinner, but something special. Chicken possibly with pasta, but I wanna spice it up a bit. Like, maybe lobster? Any ideas? Grilling out is an option as well, maybe some salmon and rice? what do you all think? lol

Okay, yes these Tuesday twos are for my benefit only, but I need some ideas and some advice. So, anyone...??? PLEASE? lol Love you guys!!

Countdown til I move into my place: 27days!!!! WOO HOO!!

I would consider renting them, lease to own kinda deal. I did this when I first moved out of home and it helped a lot. Also nowadays, there are so many special deals out there, buy now, don't pay until 2010 lol, seriously though, you can get most major purchase deferrred for at least a year, then pay monthly with a standard interest rate like a credit card.

2. Any recipes?

Not a chance lol I'm a horrible cook!

Hi Gail...I agree with Jayecey...the buy now pay later deals they have are pretty good. Not so sure I'd do the rent to own thing...i would imagine u'd be paying a lot more in the long run. With the buy now pay later option, you could have maybe 2 years to get the money put away...and as long as it's paid on time there are no interest charges. You'll just have to be sure to put a little away each month so u'll have the money when it's due. I'd do that over buying a used washer and dryer...you just never know what you're getting.

As far as the recipes go, heres a good place to look around

good luck!

1. Washer & Dryer: You definitely want to find a washer & dryer that will be in your budget, but not one that is so cheap you have to worry about it breaking. Several stores will offer no payments/no interest for several months if not years. That sounds like it would be the best bet.

2. Cooking for a Man: This is more up my alley. Since Mark isn't originally from the states, maybe a theme dinner would be a good idea. If you think he will be in town after the 4th of July, you could probably find lots of "America" theme party supplies. Cups, plates, glasses, table cloth, etc. You could even make it like a real American cookout complete with burgers, potato salad, watermellon. Okay, I'm obviously from the south because you have to have an apple pie at a cookout. If you can't find any 4th of July themed items, maybe just a true American dinner. Of course it seems that we are one big melting pot of people, so you have several options. An Italian feast, a Mexican fiesta, tomato sandwiches on white bread...yes, that is a true Southern dish.

Well, Em....southern cooking is right up my alley!! I think that is a wonderful idea and getting all the July 4th deals on sale!! Oh yeh!! Sounds to me like you may need to come over to my place and help me out for the evening!! Kidding. So....yeh...the washer and dryer is a good idea to buy now, pay later. I hope I can get that going this weekend and if I can get it delivered and installed by some hot boy....well, there is my eye candy for the day! lol lol That was a joke. lol
