It's up to you whether you decide to tell someone about your RA or not on your first date. If I were you I would probably just leave it at you just don't drink because it's not your thing and then say something after several dates when you think there is some potential for a relationship there but It's all about how comfortable YOU feel saying something. You will eventually have to say something if you are dating the same person for a little while so they know more about you but if they can't accept that part of you then they are not the right one for you. I don't think RA would prevent me from dating someone at all if I clicked with them and got along with them well.

Just to throw in my two cents... I agree with Sparkle. I want to know pretty early if someone is a recovering alcoholic. But it doesn't necessarily have to be on the first meet.
