So there is always talk about what is and what isnt "your type".
So....tell us? What is your type?
Physically what does it for you?
What about education or employment ideals?
Tell us about your ideal "mate".
I'm thinking I don't have much of a 'type'.
Very specific type here. I'm not single, just like to talk about types!
Physical - simple: think Tommy Lee or Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue, or Joe Elliott or Rick
Love the question!
Physical type: I went for guys that are tall, athletic or average (I don't like skinny dudes). I also liked the funny, outgoing types.
Educational: I wanted a guy with a college degree. Education is very important to me, so I stuck to this one. I also wanted someone well informed and interesting.
Employment: didn't care, as long as he seemed to have a career and goals.
My type is older guys an inch or two taller than me, with dark hair and dark eyes. Always college graduates, never the athletic type, slightly overweight and usually slightly redneck (hey, I went to school in Indiana, they were all over!)
My boyfriend is younger than me, a full 5 inches taller, and blond with green eyes..former college athlete and still in decent shape. Physically he's nothing like anyone I've ever dated, but personality-wise he is, from the college grad to slightly redneck. I'm lucky I met him online, because I'd never have given him a second look in real life.
Physically: Must be my height or SHORTER...yep thats right...I like shorter men. Must have a medium to dark complexion...dark hair, any color eyes but green is drool worthy. Must have a "sweetness" of face....I'm not really into that whole rugged type. Though no "metros" please.
For me it's that I grew up with it, saw my mom give up her commission and her military career for my dad, saw him gone all the time. Why would I voluntarily go looking for that? As I've gotten older, I've spent a lot of time and energy in school, have a degree and working on a second, and have a career that will be severely derailed if I marry my boyfriend.
In fact, when he winked at me, I didn't want to reply because I could tell he was military. But I figured we'd never actually end up meeting, so replying couldn't hurt. Was not planning on falling in love AT ALL, but now that I have, I'm just going to make the best of it. :-)
I'm a little conflicted on the military issue.
