We are always talking about “unavailable” men on this board so I wanted to share this true story with you. I recently found a friend of mine on yahoo and sent him an email and asked what happened to him and his fiancée, his reply is below. He’s really a good guy and this prank was all in fun but it really shows the motivation behind a lot of these guys doing cyberspace dating! I hope you get a laugh out of this, he paid for this prank in the end!
Reply to my email:
OK...first and foremost nothing has happened between me and fiancée. We are still a happy, loving couple as far as I know.
Second, I'm not on here to meet any women!!! I'll explain this in detail below. Its a long story...
To start off, since the surgery and more so since being laid off, I've been spending some time at a local diner / coffee shop. At the diner, I've gotten to know all the waitresses, and a lot of the regulars. One regular in particular has become a good friend.
As friends are, sometimes a little "friendly" competition can develop. It all started as "which one of us was the waitresses' favorite customer"...me or him. Well, let's just say I won that one...LOL.
In the mean time, my friend whose name is Dude and is 28 yrs old, is in dire need of a girlfriend. So, Dude signs up for an online dating service.
After a lot of joking around about him doing that (no offense by the way), one of our waitress friends made a suggestion. Since we had our "popularity" contest going, why not make it more interesting. Since Dude was on a dating service, why shouldn't I do the same thing and compete with him on the number of messages / emails we got.
It didn't stop there though...LOL. When word got out, another guy named Stud wanted to get in on it. He's 19 years old. So we decided to let him in, and to make things even more fun we decided to involve a little betting. Each one would put in $100 all going to the winner.
So, occasionally all of us would get together to tally up the number of messages each one of us had so that we could keep a running total.
This is where the real fun came in. Last night was our night to tally up the current messages. When I signed on I saw that I had 7 new messages. At first I was smiling because I thought I was catching up to first place. Then...BOOM! The first message was from you. God was I embarrassed. To make matters worse, everyone read your message and realized that you knew me and fiancée personally! At that point I became the laughing stock of the diner...LOL. You wouldn't believe how much s**t I caught from everyone. Jokes came constantly from all directions.
So, with that being said, I have now withdrawn from the competition, forfeiting my $100 entry fee...LOL. Hell, I was in second place anyhow...HAHAHA.
Just to keep you current, Dude has actually met a girl on his dating service, and has his first date with her tonight. As far as me, I'm deleting my profile and getting out of yahoo's personals. For Stud, I think he's going to beat Dude with a really big margin.
I guess with me teasing Dude in the beginning, I learned that "What goes around, comes around".
Go ahead...laugh...but that's my story and I'm sticking to it...LOL
End of his email.

Good story but honestly he's ENGAGED and a grown man to be doing a prank to see how many chicks they can get? Sorry but I don't buy it, he probably got caught, got creative and you have one heck of a story!
Dude and Stud? Judy, I don't think he's a good guy. I think he's a man living in fantasy land and you found him out. I feel sorry for the fiancee.

That's the reality the internet makes it easier for cheaters to cheat.
