SP - personally I don't think a major purchase such as a car should be rushed. If you are in a rush the dealers will smell it a mile away and your wallet will suffer. Perhaps you could switch to a less expensive rental and get a weekly rate?

I don't know if you can buy a car online - I didn't try it. I just got an offer from the dealer via email and then went to the dealer to test drive and inspect the actual car and then take care of the $. Now that I think about it I don't think you would want to buy online b/c you really should check out the actual car BEFORE they have your money.

You’re right – What I think I’ll do is get a cheaper car thru Enterprise.

For my last car purchase, I went the online route. Used cars dot com to get several offers. Sounds like you are doing the same. It was my best car buying experience. I felt like I was able to get a fair price. (I did lots of research online first. ) And then went and drove the car. I haggled for a few extras, but in general I don't enjoy that process. After thinking about it
