Good morning everyone,
I just wanted to say hello to all of you and thank you all for the support you've given me through my time of need. I also wanted to let you all know all your wonderful advice did not just get wasted either. I printed out all the great and helpful responses I got on here and keep them at home to look at when I need a "boost". In fact, I used them last night. I have been going to my counselor (though its still just the beginning so its not really making any kind of dents in my feelings yet), but I'm still sticking with it. Anyway, something happened this weekend that was a little bit of a setback for me. I went out Saturday night with a friend of mine and when I came home, I went to go send a text message to my best friend, who's name happens to start with the same letter as "the guy". Now, mind you all I havent spoken or had any contact with him in over 2 weeks now. Here I am, thinking I sent my best friend a text message. I turn on my tv and I'm laying in bed waiting for her response, and I get one, only its not her. Its from him (their names start with the same letter and I must've accidentally sent her message to him). Here's the kicker… It said "who's this??" - I couldn’t believe it!! After everything that happened, this guy actually forgot who I am?? Or is it just that he's trying to make me feel bad?? The worst part is that it worked!! Why is it bothering me that this jerk who has treated me so badly, hacked into my stuff, belittled me, used me, and so on and so on said that he has forgotten me already? Shouldn’t I be glad?? I don’t know. I mean, it wasn’t enough for me to go contacting him again and trying to call him or whatever. I'm just saying it made me feel even worse. How could someone forget someone so quickly after something like that??
Anyway, I did want to come back and write and just let you all know that I did go back last night and read all the posts from the past that I've printed out. They really do help. My mother and my smart RN friend that I mentioned both said this guy is poison and he's not a good person and that I've dodged a bullet by him forgetting me. They both say I shouldn’t care what he thinks of me. Anyway, I've been getting together with friends and I'm considering going back to school for medical coding and billing. I would like to concentrate on trying to spend some time trying to better myself. Meeting jerks like that is not going to help me with that lol...

Why is he even still in your phone????
Sheri
Good, I'm glad you deleted him completely. Hopefully you've blocked him from emailing you as well.
This is just a blip--I'm glad to hear you're in counseling and I hope that helps.

Just wanted to add my thoughts. It may or may not help you feel better. He may have asked "Who's this??" because you are no longer in his phone. I had this happen before, someone texted me and said "Merry Christmas" and I had to ask who it was. It happened to be a guy I dated about a year prior. I don't memorize phone numbers, that is what memory is for. So it could be that he never memorized your phone number or even looked at it, as it always came up as your name. A guy I've been dating for about a month, I have no clue what his phone number is, it just comes up as his name.
I don't think he "forgot" about you. You are probably no longer in his phone as he is trying to move on, which I'm glad you deleted his number because that shows yourself that you are ready to move on as well.
Good luck to you!
Stacey
