Thanks for commenting on my post. You're advice gave me the extra push to finally move on in my mind and with my actions. I won't be checking for his emails anymore but if he does write back I will let him know that a month is a substantial amount of time to know if he would like to move to phone contact and if not, that's okay but I'm not looking for an internet-only connection.

We did talk about "patience" as being one of the qualities we would like to practice but I think that I've been patient long enough and at first I didn't want to feel guilty of

I don't think it's an exercise in patience to hold off on moving from email to phone, Dear. He is hiding something, perhaps in a committed relationship or ending one. I think he's yanking your chain. Wasting your time. Sorry.

I think you should absolutely let him know that. If I were you I'd say that and also give him your number, tell him you'll be around tonight or tomorrow and that you're looking forward to his call.
