Was this really necessary?

Well, apparently, I sent more than one icebreaker to a guy on Yahoo because he emailed back:
"Look, I admire your persistence, but it just ain't gonna happen. Sorry!"
Honestly, I don't remember sending him more than one icebreaker. I only send them out once in awhile so I guess I didn't realize I had already sent him one.
Even if I did send him more than one icebreaker, I thought his email was unnecessary. Is it that hard to just press delete if you're not interested? I mean, I have emailed guys back but it was only to say we wouldn't be a match, usually because they were outside of my age requirements.
Anyway, I wanted to go off on him, but I just deleted him. Somehow that was even more satisfying. :-)

What a jerk! Yeah, that was unnecessarily cold and rude. If I have gotten multiple winks or emails from someone, usually I just delete until I get three at which point I will send the "thanks but I just don't think we're a match" email. Saying what he did was uncalled for.
Hey, at least you found out he was a jerk and didn't ever have to bother with meeting him! :-)
What a jerk! That was totally unnecessary. Besides, I don't think yahoo *lets* you send more than one icebreaker to one person, no matter how long it's been since the first one.

Match lets you send another wink after 30 days I think...Yahoo doesn't no matter how much time has passed, and never has, as far as I know.

That's what I'm thinking, or that he's just a jerk, or this is just a "form" email he sends, regardless of whether and how many contacts the person has made...whatever it is, the OP hitting "delete" was the right response!
