Anyone doing anything really fun or exciting? Anyone not doing anything fun and exciting?

I am going to meet a girlfriend for dinner, then who knows from there. Tomorrow I have a date. Yes, I have a date. Nothing special. Just some guy someone is setting me up with, for fun. No strings. I already made it clear, I was not looking for a full time man, just someone to hang out with. SO, its gravy. Now, Sunday...I am sleeping in. Mark said he was going to call this weekend and ask me something. He better not be asking to crash at my place when he gets here, or money, or worse!! I told that man I dont want this with him and I really hope he understands that I cannot be smothered. It will only make it worse for us both. Blah! Old news. SO, I have a full weekend with no kids. There you have it! So what is everyone doing>>>>>

Salsa tonight! I joined this class in the spring and made a couple of great guy friends. We go salsa dancing a couple of times a month at a club here and have a blast.

As for the rest of the weekend...unpacking, cleaning and lots of work. I'm trying to work as hard as I can so I can finish this job and move. Our vacation just made me more determined to get to Hawaii as quickly as I can.

Hope you have a great night out with the new guy and manage to relax without the kids!

My "big plans" are to relax and try and get a handle on some cleaning around here. I have a fun night planned on Monday night however - girls night with my friends. But I guess that's not the weekend anymore!

I have friday's off this summer so today all I did was workout and take a nice long nap.

Maybe by next week I'll be ready to dive back into lavalife.com or match.com and try to find another guy to date.

Oh! and just a quickie update - Steve called me last night! He acted like he never sent me that email to blow me off! Well I wished him luck and said no dice to anymore dates. I'm sorry but even if he didn't creep me out with his similiarity to my uncle, any guy who tries to break up with you and then calls back acting like that never happened.... ugh no way would I want to date someone like that. The nerve!

Anyway I just need a break from men this weekend!! ;o) I hope you all have a fabulous one!

Saturday, my shop is still open and at night family will go to relative's house for the 1st year death anniv. of my uncle there will be a prayer service and we will have our dinner there.

Sunday will be church time (we're always late for the mass though :P), family decided to go to the mall for some time to relax and have some shopping. Just wanted to unwind and have some fun.

If things will not go as scheduled, ill just relax at home and be a couch potato and spend the day daydreaming about joe..woohoo.

Happy weekend everyone!!!!

Well, Rob and I went dancing Friday night, and I ended up spending the night with him! OMG! I can't believe I did that - though I don't regret it. I am going to see him again on Monday, as it's a long weekend here in Canada.

Hi Catherine,

I have already been in sorrow about you because you haven't posted about how the second Friday dance night went, but now I know why ;-) You had other things to do then dealing with the message board.

But I think you should have put this important news into an own post than just "hiding" it under Gails weekend plans. Nothing to be ashamed of, we are all adults and if we want to spend the night with somebody even if we don't know him for long, so what!? I spent the night with Rob (for all who don't read our board regularly, I am talking of a different Rob than Catherine!) the first time we met in person. Ok, we knew each other for about 2 months then but just over email and phone and we planned it different. We had two hotel rooms booked when we met in Chicago but his' just ended up un-used because everything went better than we may have thought.

I am glad you had fun and wish you a wonderful long weekend. I wished we would have a "First Monday in August" holiday in Germany as well!
