When you are viewing a profile - what are the top three things that people write about that make you click away and think "no way" ....

Sexual comments, rants on other women or bad experiences, evidence of illiteracy.

Sorry, but I have more than 3 and I can't choose between them

1- Any mention of him being sensual, sexual or loving cuddling. We all do but don't feel the need to advertise it!

2- Does not write in proper English as in run on sentences, no capitaliziation, or the dreaded cyber speak (How R u? I liked ur profile. Would like 2 speak to u some time.) Ugh!

3- Is in his 30's but goes clubbing though I don't like men who go clubbing, period.

4- Poses without a shirt as if the fact that you spend hours a day in the gym is supposed to be a turn on. One guy who sent me his profile was showing off his tongue ring in his main photo so that's another no-no for me.

5- Answers all the questions in the suggestions for filling out the profile one by one (ie. My favorite color is blue. I like Italian food. I listen to rock music. I watch reality shows). In other words, has no pulse or creativity. I actually get emails from guys who write like that or agree with every thing in my profile one by one.

6- Won't date women his own age but will go down to age 21 despite being well into his 30's.

Stealing from ising: Any mention of him being sensual, sexual or loving cuddling. Unoriginal and gets Next'd immediately.

Over active: sports, gym, travel, work etc. I don't like a too hectic lifestyle.

Anyone looking for fit and attractive.

Absurd age range, like a 40 year old looking for 20 year olds. We wouldn't get along so why bother?

Here's a line I just found in a profile:

"..It's just that in the past (reference failed relationships), things became too sexual, too fast. Since I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks, and hoping to build a successful long term relationship, I am going to utilize cold showers to behave myself. Please feel free to smack me if the showers prove ineffectual."

I would definitely 'next' his profile!
also probably:
1. anything referring to cuddling - like the others said
2. wanting someone 'open minded' and 'well traveled' - whatever
3. any reference to 'no game playing'

I, too, have more than 3.

1. Poor grammar, punctuation.

2. The mention of sex, or of having a high libido that needs satisfying (likewise, sexual innuendo in his username will disqualify as well.)

3. "She needs to know how to keep up with me because I'm constantly on the go!" - these guys scare me. I was once engaged to one of these types, and beleive me, it wasn't fun! I try to avoid ADD afflicted men.

I know you requested three, Lg, but I do have a fourth, fifth and six:

4. Mentions the ex, or previous relationships that went south.

5. LOOOONG profiles that seem to go on endlessly discussing life adventures, philosophy, careers, and homes which span the globe. There's nothing like a braggart- likewise, verbal diarrhea is equally as annoying.

6. "I'm just a nice guy". If he needs to mention this, chances are he isn't. I've seen this time and time again.

Great question!

Top Three Reasons to Next for me:

#1: under 6'0

#2: ridiculous age range

#3: looking for a non-smoker

If they make it past those, then the next three reasons are:

#4: no mention of motorcycles in profile

#5: "I like to cuddle on the couch with a movie" - GAG!

#6: any sexual verbage (we all like it - duh!)

If they make it past those, then:

#7: religious affiliation is way off from mine (I don't see myself dating a Jehovah's Witness or an atheist)

#8: looking for "athletic and toned" (a couple years ago this wouldn't have mattered)

#9: likes museums, art, and bookstores

Interesting question! I definitely have more than 3, but ones that will make it so I will even just stop reading the profile right at that moment and move on;

1. Pictures with no/open shirt or pictures with their souped up muscle-car or police car. I had a cop that regularly winked at me (until I blocked him) with several pictures of him and his police car.

2. Highly religious. I am SO not religious and anyone that mentions "JC is my personal savior and I believe he died on the cross for my sins" has every right to their opinion but I have a feeling will not approve of me and my feelings and we won't have a lot in common.

3. Over the age of 40. Personal preference, sorry.

But I also will next them for sexual references in the profile, body type, education level, a mid-30s guy who will date someone under the age of 25 and lack of information in the profile (i.e. leaves even the multiple choice questions blank or leaves "Any" on almost all of them - I had a guy that I contacted early on in my OLD days that had "Any" for everything and then told me I wasn't his type - how the heck am I supposed to know that!?! ;-))
