I am on match and I got introduced to bb peoplemeet last week... but I was wondering if you guys knew of some other sites.

I actually considered starting my own dating site but I don't have the time and maybe no one would sign up for it. What I was looking for was a more platonic / settle type of site like, I need a guy to go to my x-mas party with, if you go to mine, I will go to yours. Type thing. And maybe it would lead to love...

I really like bb people meet more than the others but one that I also enjoy is ok cupid cause of the little games and stuff.

I tried EH on the free trial & I didn't like it at all--I didn't like just hearing the respones to the canned questions--I think you can get a much better idea of what someone is like by reading what they have written in their own words.

I also didn't like e-harmony. I personally felt that the guys didn't take the guided part very seriously and would skip the questions just to talk to you and then disappear just like any other site.

You can start your own meet up group at meetups.com, and make it anything you want it to be.

Well I gave up on plenty of fish. I found the photos blurry (even mine) and although there were MUCH more on there, they were well, not serious. I get the feeling that site is not much different than craigslist.

I have to say though I really like "ok cupid" they let you answer all these questions and then pair you up with your matches and tell you how much you match. That has worked out wonderfully so far...practically finding a twin.

i still have my profile on ok cupid not because I am looking but because I enjoy the quizzes and stuff.

Yes I found "plenty of fish" to be full of creeps. But so far, not the case on ok cupid (both sites are free).... maybe ok cupid requires mor from you (the profie seems pretty detailed) and that scares some of the creeps away. Although on ok I did just get contacted by someone who was in a relationship and was looking for a 3rd.. well at least he was honest.

Did you say that you lived in the NOrtheast?
