What would you guys do?

Bachelor 1's b-day is next Wednesday...
Should I offer to treat him to dinner? Or do I get him a card? I hate this! When their b-day is b4 mine.... We've been dating for about 6 weeks now, but there is no talk of commitments or strings. What would you guys suggest?

I would wait and see how you feel about him on Tuesday. Then you'll know what to get or not get for him. There's always the baking a cake option.

If you really like this guy and think that you'd be seeing each other again a small token gift would be nice. Like a paperback book, baseball cap, car magazine, an atlas (haha had to throw that one in) a new mouse pad, coffee mug, fuzzy dice for his car. Something around $5.00 - $10.00. Need more ideas?????

So "no" to dinner? I know he likes wine... what about a bottle of wine? I don't really cook and he doesn't have a sweet tooth.

my vote is for dinner.

(but then I am a wine snob and people have a hard time buying wine that I like) Dinner is easy and non committal

How about treating him to the movies? Sneak in a bag of Hershey Kisses?

oh I have a better one........get him a card. make a trail of hershey kisses to you (ring the doorbell and hide behind tree/out of sight) in the card tell him to follow the trail of hershey kisses to a surprise-- you and a real kiss..takes a little bit of planning and sealth not to get caught setting it up...corney but fun....

My first OLD boyfriends birthday came up about 6 weeks into the relationship as well. I took him out to dinner. Nothing fancy, just a little different than the places we'd been going to. We had very similar, if somewhat limited, tastes in food so I took him out for Indian food. I think I'd only ever tried it once and since I didn't hate it I figured it was a safe bet as he'd also mentioned a similar experience with Indian food as well. It worked and we both had a great time. It was exotic and the kind of place where you're sampling & sharing from a dinner of 4-5 courses, so it was kind of sensual too.
A bottle of wine is also a good idea.

I think the dinner thing is a great idea, especially if you've been seeing each other for six weeks. That's just enough time for it to be okay for a special date, but I don't think it's enough time to get him a gift or anything (unless it's small, like some of the other girls suggested).

Take him to a nice new place you haven't been to together :) Always fun!

I would take him dinner. You've been seeing him for 6 weeks - that's plenty of time. My birthday was 3 weeks after I started dating my husband and he took me out to dinner for my B-Day.
