Do men sit around and analyze women? Anyone that read my ranting Hmmmm post...would a man actually remember all that? I mean really, I just came from looking at posts from iVillage's "understanding the opposite sex". Do you think men analyze relationships as much as women?

No they don’t analyze about relationships as a rule. Are you kidding, we analyze every email; every miscommunication; every thing he does that isn’t consistent, every phone call or lack thereof – we are “analyzers anonymous” hear us roar, ha! We do think too much when getting into dating and relationships in my opinion – it’s exhausting reading this board sometimes but so addictive, he, he.

I think men are better at hiding their emotions and "compartmentalizing," as I've been told. In other words, it's a lot easier for me to have sex for sex wihtout getting too emotionally involved. With that said, I think they analyze more than we think they do. The guy I just broke up with and I are remaining friends. He was and still does analyze everything. We had a chat about why things weren't working out for us romantically and he gave me his perspective that definitely took some thought. I also think that men don't "forget" everything either. As I've said more than once, they have a selective memory and I think fake they forget things for their own benefit. Men don't want to come across as weak or vulnerable so it's easier to act like things don't bother them. MY ex-husband once told me he'd rather die than ever admit he was jealous. Well, that's my thoughts for what they're worth.
