I had a terrifc first meeting on Saturday. This is the first -first meeting- that I truly enjoyed and I'm pretty sure he felt the same way. We had good conversation, good food, flirting, lauhter and such. No distractions or glances to other people. He had his eyes on me and I on him. However, at the end of the night we said our good bys with a kiss on the cheek and he said "we'll talk". I was left confused. There was no mention of second date or else on his part. He wrote to me yesterday to say hi and says he hopes to talk to me again; he mentions the good time he had on Saturday with me. I wrote back a breezy message letting him know the good time I had and that I was looking forward to talking to him again as well.

I wonder if he's got more girls lined up and is "deciding" among them. OR maybe he's not that intetested in me, but his signals on Saturday were others. What's up with this? After a good date one wants to have some more of the same, at least me.

It hasn't been much time. You saw each other Saturday, he emailed you Monday and it's only Tuesday. Maybe he's a slow poke?!

Hopefully you're keeping busy with those other OLD contacts you have?

This is where I'd stop it. Ball's in his court.

I have a few other OLD guys lined up yes, but this one has left a good mark on my book. I'm curious thouhg, as to why not ask for a second date if he had such a good time? He, though, said that he had issues with making desicions now that I remember. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

Let him contact you. If he REALLY felt a strong connection he would have set up the second date already or let you know he’d like to see you and what is your schedule like. By sending that message it keeps you in the holding pattern w/out obligation just yet. For guys dating is expensive so he must decide whom he has better connections with, at least, that’s my theory. I’d keep dating and not hold my breath.

Yes, exceptions to all/most rules but from experience it just means you’re one of a few he’s meeting or have met out.
