What makes you great?
| Sun, 03-06-2005 - 3:04pm |
It seems that a lot of us are feeling rather blah these days - myself included. I think we need to try and remember what makes us so great. So, if you're up for it, answer these questions. .
- What's your best physical feature?
- What's your best personality trait?
- What's one thing that you do well?
- What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far?
- What's the biggest risk you've taken?

I am game....
With a bow to phoenixmom, THIS is what I call self-love!! Thanks for another great post, jh.
1. What's your best physical feature?
My feet. They are the most beautiful feet on the planet, bar none. If you saw them, you would wish you were me.
2. What's your best personality trait?
Humour.
3. What's one thing that you do well?
Smile; plan; organize.
4. What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far?
My daughter, despite a rocky beginning to her life (with parents splitting when she was two) she is now almost-18 and a really terrific lady.
5. What's the biggest risk you've taken?
Becoming self-employed on January 1, 2000. Never looked back.

good post JH. Sometimes we really need to remind ourselves of this.
1 - physical feature - stomach
2 - personality trait - goofy and fun
3 - thing i do well - listen and give advice
4 - Learning to love numero uno, MOI
5 - Dating my best friend and taking the risk of losing him. And it happened, I lost him as a friend as a result of dating. But it was the best risk I've taken too.
I guess since I also need a reminder of what makes me so great, and since I'm the one who started this thread, I should answer my own questions.
hair/face
best trait:
I'm pretty easygoing
one thing I do well:
I'm a great researcher. Everyone is always asking me to find stuff out for them.
biggest accomplishment:
raised 2 productive citizens and my career
biggest risk:
packed a u-haul and moved to Arizona with no job. Things have turned out better than I could even dreamed.

What does that mean, lg?
It means a guy who had no idea what a diaper was spent 2 months tube feeding 3lb twins in NICU (neonatal intensive care) and then figuring out how to care for them until they were reasonably able to feed and entertain themselves...(about age 3)
Probably the period of time in my life when I was the most focussed ever. In my mind there was no possibility of failure -- and suprisingly I didn't! (amazing what humans can do when they put their mind to something).
Great question! Here's mine:
What's your best physical feature?
My eyes....they're very unusual. They go from green, to amber and sometimes even yellow (like a cat!) And they twinkle when I smile
What's your best personality trait?
I generally think before I speak and take into consideration the feeling of others
What's one thing that you do well?
I'm a DY-NO-MITE public speaker!
What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far?
I bought a 200 year old farmhouse on 12 acres. I was the General Contractor and supervised the renovations, which took 6 months. Now I take care of it all by myself with very little assistance. I can run a chain saw and swing an axe better than most guys I know! LOL!
What's the biggest risk you've taken?
Buying my first house as a single person. Back then I was an "Unconscious Incompetent" ....I didn't know what I didn't know!
