What makes you great?
| Sun, 03-06-2005 - 3:04pm |
It seems that a lot of us are feeling rather blah these days - myself included. I think we need to try and remember what makes us so great. So, if you're up for it, answer these questions. .
- What's your best physical feature?
- What's your best personality trait?
- What's one thing that you do well?
- What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far?
- What's the biggest risk you've taken?

What's your best physical feature? In my opinion my eyes...if you ask any man that I have dated or are friends with they say my chest, lol.
What's your best personality trait? Loyalty...and my honesty.
What's one thing that you do well? Being a parent (and my job).
What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far? My children...and my job too : )
What's the biggest risk you've taken? Leaving a relationship that was safe and comfortable because deep down I knew it was not right for me (even though on the surface it looked great to everyone). I choose to be alone rather than stay with someone I knew I couldn't make a long term committment too. I finally realized that I am comfortable enough in my own skin to be alone and be happy with my life that way and that I don't need someone else to make me happy.
What's your best physical feature?
Everyone says my eyes for sure. Others have said teeth and lips.
What's your best personality trait?
My parents say I'm their most giving child (they have four) and I hope my friends think so too.
What's one thing that you do well?
Eat and drink....lol. Professional at both. I can play any sport well - I know that.
What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far?
The job I have now. Love the paycheck.
What's the biggest risk you've taken?
Bad outcome: Meeting a married man. Totally stupid and total disaster. I wish it had never happened.
Good outcome: I guess if you think moving all over the country (previous to now) with nothing in my pocket and still being okay a risk, that would be it. My family would say that to be true.
Great questions and just what the Dr. ordered, JH! Thanks!
Lisa
Forgive me for not answering your questions one by one..
What makes me great? my pooches. I've taken full responsibilities to raise two (and one which died last year) brats from puppies to be good-hearted, friendly and reasonably obedient good dogs all by myself. Got a house w/ back yard just because of my pooches, counting pennies but still haven't given up paying mortgages (ouch) and driving a long way to get chemical free dog food. Everything is for pooches and when they smile at me, I feel great. :)
Well, excluding my daughter and all her friends, no.
Sorry for your loss. I'll google the other three breeds so I can picture them.
Well, I figure I should throw in my hat too.
Physical feature - my eyes. The sound a lot like ABM's - I also have those mysterious hazel eyes that change with what I am wearing and my moods. Sometimes they are really green and other times golden or something else!
Personality trait - loyalty and tenacity (sometimes to a fault). I stick by my friends, family and boyfriends no matter what. I have never cheated on anyone and have remained friends with some people when others have long abandoned them. But at times that is a bad thing because I refuse to give up when maybe it would be better if I did.
Something I do well - cook. I take recipes and just throw other things in and it tastes great or I will just take things I know work together and whip something up. I rarely measure and just go with it. I have even taken some of my favorite foods at restaurants and made my own versions at home that I think are even better than what I get out.
Biggest accomplishment - getting my MBA and a good job
Biggest risk - also getting my MBA. I had no background in business at all but I knew that I didn't want to do what I was doing (working at Target) or do what I had gotten my degree in (elementary education) so I just took a risk and went out and did it even though I knew nothing.
Fun post, JH!
What's your best physical feature? My hair...specifically my hair color.
What's your best personality trait? Fierce loyalty.
What's one thing that you do well? Sing!
What's been your biggest accomplishement in life, so far? Starting my business and becoming nationally recognized for being very good at what I do. Now if I could only make a full time living at it ;-).
What's the biggest risk you've taken? Same, starting the business.

Wow, Hoov...you are the Einstein of Great Questions! :)
1. My best physical feature at this time is my six-pack stomach. It is kinda unusual for a 48 year old to have one, and I work hard for it,---it is Not that ugly, prehistoric looking type that you see on those women bodybuilders that you swear are Also truck drivers named Stan; but a sexy, sculpted version. I also am blesed with lush, dark Italian hair that is very shiny. (ice water, I swear, it works!)
2.My best personality trait is my sweet nature. I Seem happy to see people and greet them by name, if possible, because I AM happy to see them--I am genuine.
3.I am proud to say I am a good mother who loves and Likes her children. I overcame a personal legacy of severe verbal, mental and corporal abuse by my folks, to learn that I would Never treat my own that way. At some point in life, you have to walk Out of your history to do Better!(I also make killer Kahlua brownies--recipie anyone?)
4.My greatest accomplishment is Getting to where I am today; to be the kind, loving, happy person that I am--recreating myself into a diamond, from a legacy of nothing but muddy treatment as a child. "God made you great, but he did not make you better than anyone else"; I am proud to live by this, that my Gramama taught me with her wonderful heart.
5. My biggest risk taken was to get back into the workforce at 40..I had no alternative,it was a bit scary at first, but I faced it head-on, and I am glad I did...my knees Were knocking there for a bit!
Truly,
Cupcake
