What would make you pass on a profile?

In my year of OLD-ing, I have come across exactly two profiles which matched my Wish List point by point! Typically, my wink/smile got no response from either of them!

Given that there's always one, two or more negative points in the profiles, I've narrowed down what I consider a Pass:

Wanting children (I'm 46 and done birthing babies)
athletic and toned (I am NOT!)
Separated
Mention of sex

Can't think of anything else off hand. What about all of you? What makes you pass? And what would you consider negotiable?

I consider these negotiable:

Smoking (I've quit again)
My age range: if they have 45, I'll still consider winking
His age range: I've come down from my high horse and increased my preferred age range at either end. It is now 40 - 49. But even if a 50 year old winked I would consider him.

(((Libra)))

I'll take my daughter (age 22) any day over a man who wouldn't want me because of her. Guess "HE" will have to be the one with the empty house ;) A criteria must! Oooppps...guess maybe Mr. Lawyer man wouldn't work out after all....unless of course he has a second home close by. Tee- hee...(One can always dream, can't one??)

Dreams are free and I always say if you don't have them you are one boring person. LOL I hear you about the empty house, it's a criteria must for me too.

Fortunately, the guy I'm seeing has just finished his new place, so by this weekend he should be moved in and we'll have a place to hang by ourselves. I can't wait for him to get the balcony with the hot tub finished. *wink* hehe...

I pass on profiles for all the above reasons--I'm so picky! First, I rarely read a profile if I don't like the photo; thus, no photo, fuzzy or distant photo, photo with someone else, will rarely entice me. I also have to insist on a height standard (being 5'11") and I'm not attracted to roly-poly guys. I've actually written to men a couple of times to tell them that I loved their profile, but there is no possible romance for us with him being only 5'6". They enjoy the compliment, and express regrets.

Happily, I have met enough men through OLD who have no children at all (and being over 50 aren't planning to have any). (I don't hate relatives; I just want a man who isn't too tied down geographically or emotionally.) I like Annie's list: I'm also a pedant about poor grammar and spelling in a profile. Actually, I almost didn't contact "M" because his profile was short and not quite perfectly written. I tell him that if we break up, he has to let me help him write a better profile! As for cats, I have done keyword searches for "cat" and also for "book"--those are two words rarely mentioned!

Someday I'd like to be able to do a nationwide, advanced search, along the lines of:

Must have "books" but not "motorcycle" Should have "cats" but not "dogs"
