Stacey, though I do understand where you're coming from because I love to dance as well, I think by requiring it of a guy you may be limiting your options. My sis in law loves to dance but had she not dated my brother b/c of his lack of interest in it, she would have given up a really great guy.

Just something to chew on...

It's all about balance. There is nothing wrong with you having your interests and him having his own. Although he may not be interested in line dancing, if you got to know him better, he may compromise and go a few times. You could still dance, but I'm sure he could hang at the bar or something. I don't think it's necessary to respond as you stated, but respond with "yes, there are other things I do for fun" and to also ask him what things does he enjoy. At this time, you are just seeking and finding each other out -- who knows where it will end up. Just the fact that he responded to your post means he is open cause obviously he notices from your pics that you line dance. Basically he didn't need to respond at all but since men are visual creatures, your looks evidently made him want to contact you! (smile)

Go easy and enjoy!!!

It's your call. I dated a guy once that was a huge golfer and I don't golf nor have the desire at this point in my life. If dancing is something can do w/out your partner then I don't personally see it as a deal breaker that's why he wrote you. I've been involved with guys that have acitivities they enjoy doing that I don't. We have things we enjoy doing together, things we enjoy doing alone or with our friends. Dancing is more borderline as it could be fun with a partner but if you missed it in your last relationship then maybe you should try and find it. At least the guy was upfront and honest he had no interest - kudos to him.

It could be the country music, there is a big country music fan base here in MA but it's pretty secretive, you must need a secret country music decoder ring to find out. You should date my old boyfriend, he lives in Salem LOVES LOVES LOVES country music.

Hi Sally,
I am in Ma. and a country music lover. Where can I get the ring? I am located near the R.I. border.

"Country line-dancing isn't everyone's cup of tea for sure. But I also enjoy parachuting, bungee jumping and car surfing. Let's plan to get together."
