When they don't have a pic

How do you handle winks when they don't have a pic on their profile?

I'm so sick of it, I just send an email with a blunt "got a pic?".

Is that just too rude? I just don't have the energy to send anything more tactful.

Same here.

But I do remember one time, this guy did email me a pic, and he was MINIMUM 600 lbs. I didn't write back after I got it, and he sent me this abusive email.

I told him "yeah, like if I weighed the same as you, you would have ever considered winking at me. Get real." and blocked.

That's so funny, no wonder he does not post a pic. he will scare all the women away! lol..

I've only taken my changes at replying when they write at least a line, not only a wink, and if they are funny or witty explaining why they're not posting a pic. Like this guy that wrote to me twice, he was insistent, he told me jokingly to take a chance and to roll the dice. I thought that was bold so he emailed me a pic and I was pleasantly surprised! He was cute and nice. I went out with him 3xs, but later he ghosted on me! This OLD world is unpredictable, but I am staying positive and I keep taking my chances. :)

I had this one guy wink at me with no pic. I wrote back "So why no picture?" he wrote back saying WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE HERE AND PICTURES I JUST STARTED ON THE WEBSITE GIVE ME A BREAK. Then goes on to switch out of Sybil role and ask me if I'd go out with him. UH NO!

I say the same thing and follow it with, "it's only fair, don't you think?"

I would say, I don't like talking to a blank screen and before we engage in any conversation, I would like to see how you look like (you saw me already), physical attraction is important, you don't want to waste your time or his.

I ask for a picture nicely and politely. I put it in the context of a reply if they have written me. I do it with class. I had joined a site (the first one), and I was only on one day when I got all sorts of rude, nasty emails asking me for my picture (put one up next day). Needless to say I didn't respond, when I get responses like that it's obvious that they just care about how I look and nothing else, a big turn off for me. If a guy sent me a picture, and I wasn't attracted, I would still write him and politely decline in a way that was not hurtful. That's the problem with old, rudeness and lots of lack for people's feelings. I treat others the way I would like to be treated, and I think a lot of people do hurtful things online that they wouldn't have the balls to do in real life.
They take it as a free licsense to engage in rude, hurtful behavior that why old in not for me.

I'm not talking about a reply to an email. I'm talking about a wink. I'm not going to even start conversing with someone if I don't know what they look like - it's always a mistake.

Even for a wink, I would still reply. If the profile sounds good, I will ask in a nice way for a picture. If not then, I will still respond: "thanks for your interest, however upon review of your profile, I don't think we have anything in common, best of luck in your search". Good manners should always be used, too bad most folks don't utilize them, if they did the old arena would be a much better place for us all.
