Yes, this could turn out to be a horrible tragedy. If that is the case, I apologize now. But this JNTIY was the first thing that came to my mind when I read this news article. What do you think? Was she JNTIH? Or was it that he was JNTIH? I just had to share the article with someone.

I heard this story on the moring news and all I could think of was Scott and Laci Peterson.

In this article everyone mentions is how happy *she* is and that's what everyone said about Laci. I see several paralells besides that. I hope I'm wrong

I think this woman was kidnapped and she is probably dead by now.

The fiance offered to take a polygraph so I don't think he did anything. They'll probably find her like they did Chandra Levy.

99.9% of the time, these women have been killed by their significant others. I'd like to think I was just jaded by recent events like Scott Peterson and that guy who chopped up his wife when she discovered he'd been lying about going to medical school, but the facts bear out.

My guess on this one is that the ball got rolling on a lavish-by-any-measure wedding extravaganza (600 guests! 14 bridesmaids!) and he panicked.

But I sure hope she turns up strolling barefoot in the Bahamas... having instead been the one who panicked.

Like I stated earlier if anything did happen to her, I would feel horrible bringing this whole thread up. It was just the first thing that popped into my mind.

When I was engaged I took off from California to Kansas. At least it was two months before the wedding. Other friends that have been engaged, and wanted to cancel, took of for Europe for months. So, that was the first thing that popped into my mind when I wrote the thread. After dwelling on it I did remember a girlfriend of mine who was murdered by her boyfriend, stuffed in a box and set on fire off of the freeway. That was when I felt really bad about writing the whole post.

I do hope they find her. The search for her has been called off and the fiance decided not to take a polygraph test.

looks like they found the runaway bride:

Hard to say but I think Kidnapping of adults is extremely rare. I'm guessing she's off her meds or has someone on the side that she went to see and everything got blown out of proportion.

Just saw this too. My only thought - someone in her family must have some deep pockets to be having that lavish a wedding. As someone planning my daughter's wedding for 100 (2 bridesmaids) I know only too well how expensive something that size could be. I don't think it's so far fetched that someone else knew they had a lot of money. Time and police work will tell I guess.

Edited to add; another sign of their apparent wealth - the $100,000 reward.

My money is riding on the words "chemical imbalance" being used in the story at some point..

She was found today, alive and well in New Mexico.
