Which site would you recommend?

I've tried a few online sites but I'm not crazy about any of them. Or maybe it's online dating in general I'm fed up with. I'm taking a break from it for now but will try again later on (I'm moving this month, have a lot going on anyway). I can't afford to pay for more than one site and I see the same people on all of them, so I thought I'd get some feedback on which one you like best. I realize age, geography, etc. are a factor too, but have you had more success with any particular site?
I've been using American Singles - I like that there's a lot of info in the questionaire but if you're not a paying member you can't read flirts or emails at all. I find that very annoying - I think you should at least be able to read messages even if you can't respond. You can also see who's looked at your profile. I didn't renew my membership and took my profile down for now. I've had more responses from that site but more wackos too.
I've tried Yahoo personals - you can read messages from paying members and wink, flirt, whatever back. I've also tried Cupid.com and if a member emails you, you can write back for free. I think Cupid gives you more information to fill out.
I haven't put a profile on Match yet so I'm not sure how it works. It does seem to have a lot more info to fill out and probably more people than the other sites.
I know there are some free sites too, like plentyoffish or webdate. Do you have any recommendations?

Hey, I'm new here, but I thought I'd give you my two cents. I met my boyfriend on Match.com. I'll admit, though, that I cheated the system. I didn't pay for the service. I did the free profile thing and cleverly inserted my AIM name into my profile (I know...I feel kinda bad about cheating the system...on the other hand, it sure worked well!) To the people moderating the site, it looked like an odd sentence, but nothing to indicate that it was contact information. However, it must not have been too vague because it got him to IM me.
Yeah, I was a poor college student with no money to pay for it. Besides, it got his attention;-). Anyway, that's the site I used. My boyfriend before that came from American Singles, but I found more questionable guys on there than anything. I did manage to hit the jackpot this time with my boyfriend now. He's everything I could possibly want and we'll be moving in together in a month and a ring shouldn't be too far behind.;-) So, in short (I know, I know...too late;-)), I recommend Match.com. But buck the system if you don't want to pay for it. There are sneaky ways around it, and if a guy's clever enough to figure it out, he's probably someone who'll pique your interest. At least, that was my reasoning...aside from being just plain cheap;-).
Matchdoctor.com is a free site (or it was a year ago when I was on it), but I didn't find anyone off of there who was worth it. Most of them were bordering on creepy, so check it out maybe, but take it with a grain of salt.
Hope this helped! If I can think of anything else, I'll letcha know.
