Why do men go to tanning places? I just got back from a first meet. The guy looked like a lobster. I couldn’t go pass his fried look and there is no way I could take him seriously. It’s such a turn off.
Boys, please take my advice – don’t tan!
I am so disappointed. All I am looking for is a normal guy - not ugly and not better looking than me! Why is it always someone tanned or gelled haired, weird looking? My profile has been looked at over 7000 times since January. WHY can't I meet an average, normal, fairly successful guy?

There's a couple people at my gym who have an un-natural looking brown tinge (almost the color of leather). I think it's spray on and agree it looks odd in the winter in New England. Especially if you're deep brown.

Hi Ya'll,

This comes under the heading of "too much of a good thing"...here in Texas we have a lot of sun, but people still go for that unnatural color we like to call "buckskin"; they look So tanned, you swear they must use saddle soap, instead of Dial! I think many people think it makes them look younger...a natural, '2 afternoons by the pool in July' tan does look nice--optimum word is 'natural'!

As for the hair gel--Unlock it! When I go to touch a man's hair when hugging them or dancing close and it "crunches"...ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Same with a lot of "bling" for me...a college ring or family crest ring, a nice watch? Cool that. But if you look like the front end of a Rolls Royce...? Later days, man! Women are guilty of all these personal misdemeanors too--there are the Gym Barbies that come to where I train, that have on Full makeup and tons of jewelry! Imagine how that makeup just Sinks into the skin when they exercise and the pores open up. Yowser! Wait...that is right, they just stand in front of important machines and chat, they don't actually Exercise! Silly me.....

I think if you Think it is 'too much'--it IS!

Truly,
Cupcake

I bought Etymotic headphones which go entirely in your ear and block out virtually all the sound. It's annoying to have to listen to people jabbering away while you're reading or trying to listen to much on one of the machines at the Gym. We have our fair share of people who either stand by the machines for 1/2 hour or workout for maybe 5 minutes - all the while chatting away.

That's why I go at 5 am. Feels like I have the whole place to myself. When I drive by there after work, there is not a place to park so I'm sure inside is just a zoo.

the other day I was at my gym and a young-ish (maybe 20) girl came in ... chatting on a cell phone!!! She kept it up when she got on the stair climber (at a ridiculously slow pace, BTW) all the while with this LOOK on her face. I was so happy when the attendant, who was younger than she (it's a YMCA) went up to her and told her to put it away. She gave him another LOOK and put it in her pocket. I went up to him later and thanked him....

Yeah, 5am is when the normal people go. Transients seem to hit the 5pm and weekend hours.
