Whoa...new boards...Baby on board! (m)

Ani Rose was born March 21st @ 11:13 pm. I went to the doctor on Friday and found that my blood pressure had shot up and that I had to be induced. She weighed in 7 lbs 9 oz and 22 inches. (Very long baby lol that would explain all the kicking in my ribs all those months :P) It has took me a few days to post her arrival because we have been kinda in and out of the hospital. We were released from the birthing center on Sunday. Then on Monday Ani had to be admitted for jaundice. We were released on Tuesday night, and now unfortunately her jaundice rate has to be watched once again. (Please pray we don't have to go the hospital again!) The reason for the jaundice issues is that an average woman starts producing milk 24-48 hours after delivery, and now 6 days later, I still haven't started to produce anything. So the first few days I was breastfeeding, she really wasn't receiving anything. Now were on the bottle and its still going up some. Her heel has been pricked about 10 times on both feet to draw blood to test her bilirubin rate. I feel so bad she has had to go through all this so early. But she has been a very well tempered baby. :) Mommy has been getting sleep, despite that she wakes every 2 1/2 hours for feedings.

Dustin has been so incredibly wonderful through all this. He helps give me a break. He's more than willing to feed her, change her and cuddle. I feel very blessed that I have such a great family little family of my own now. I just hope we can stay far, far away from the hospital.
