Whoa...what did I say?

This guy messaged me on mySpace, so we started e-mailing a bit, and out of nowhere, he just ghosted after a week. Here is a copy of our messages (obviously, read from the bottom up)...so what the hell did I say to spook him?

Jeez...it's no wonder I stopped doing actual OLD...I was just talking to him because he messaged me, not actually looking to date him or anything...

************************************

Hmmm...Beechwold? Where the hell is that? LOL I'm over close to XXX...

I didn't do much of anything this weekend...this is the first weekend that I haven't had to work on Saturday since I started my new job in July...I just sat around and enjoyed my two days off together...I was working 6 day weeks, and they sucked...what do you do?

It might be cool to hear you play sometime...but I'd have to make sure you're not a mass murderer first...LOL...public places and all that jazz...

;-)

Well then I guess I'll have to make a request...I love watching people play live guitar...not just listening, but watching...it's an experience in itself...

I'm from a small town called XXX...about 12000 people...so even though I've been here for 2 years, it's still the big, bad city to me...

So what kind of things do you do when you go out by yourself?

And I swear to God, if you actually get this message, it'll be a miracle...I've tried to send it about 20 times...I love it when mySpace craps out... ;-)

Fun...what a loaded question...LOL...I'm pretty much a follower...I'll do just about anything that someone asks me to do...I'm not originally from here, so I don't know all the "cool" places to go...alone, I'm pretty much a homebody...not much fun in doing the "going out and doing" kind of things by yourself...

Even though you don't play in a band anymore, do you still at least play for people?

So how come you don't play anymore? If I had a talent like that, I'd be showing it off to everyone! LOL

The sad thing about that icon is that until you prove otherwise, you'll always be compared to other guys..."the sins of the father" kind of thing, ya know?

You are absolutely right...which is why I've learned never to give second chances...

So where do you and your band play?

if trust is broken once. you can never get it back. like the linkin park song where he said once the picture winkles it will never be the same again.

You didn't say anything to spook him. He might have simply met someone else, in which case - good riddance.

I see exactly what happened....he said "it would probably have to involve you coming over here" and you demured, telling him you'd like to meet in a public place.

I read the other posters on this and I just think the conversation was just getting stale. It's just one of those things. Happens in real life as well. You just find out that you really don't have a whole lot to say to the other person. No big deal - it happens all the time.

OR it could have been like Stacey said - maybe he was just looking for a quick fling and you didn't play the game. In that case, oh well. Better to find out now rather than later.

I dunno know though. I'm more likely to believe he just wasn't that interested. Not that you said anything - just one of those things.

Yeah, I would agree with either the assessment that the conversation just kept going on (looks like about a week) and things just weren't progressing.
