Why isn't there a service where online daters can go and plug in a profile name and get an email address to communicate with a member on a dating service. It would save all the foolish coding of email addresses in profiles (which always seem to get caught by the service anyhow).

I guess maybe this would only work for services like Match where the members have profile ID's.

Interesting concept, but for me, I would prefer that not just anyone be able to just get my email address. What if it was that freak that sent me the email about "our first kiss"? I don't want him having my email! It is much easier for me to block him through the site and not have to worry about receiving communications from him. I also know that sometimes it is tough to block someone over email. You can block one email address, but they might have 5 others and then they will just email you from that one or keep creating new Yahoo! ones if they are really obsessive. Probably safer to just keep it under wraps until you are ready to give it to someone, IMO.
