Would You Ever "Re-Gift"?
| Mon, 10-16-2006 - 11:05am |
Ah, the holiday/birthday/wedding “re-gift.” A timeless tradition, both beloved and reviled. Never heard of it? Let’s see, here’s a handy definition:
Re-Gift (verb) The act of secretly rewrapping an unwanted present and passing it off as a new gift to someone else. (noun) The unwanted, re-given gift itself. See also: White Elephant Party.
Have you ever re-gifted, or been on the receiving end of a particularly egregious act of re-gifting? Time to fess up: Tell us your funniest re-gifting stories!

Hello
Funny question kudos:
I never "re-gifted" I am too chicken to do it, Well ,I maybe more afraid of getting exposed for doing it However, I will admit to being tempted many times.
A funny story along the same lines: A few weeks ago I was putting away my summer clothing: I came across a lime green dress my sister had given me, but I never wore it for a colourful reason ;-) Anyways, I decided I was a good time to put together a bag of stuff for "goodwill". Only latter that week, my sister visited and she saw the dress in the bag. She lifted it up, as I was “kicking” myself for leaving the "trash bag" in plain view. "Don't know what the H@ll came over me when I bought you this thing" She said smiling before throwing it back in the bag... We laugh so hard.
Ciao
