I got an icebreaker on Yahoo from a guy whose picture was really cute, but this is what his profile said:

"I am at a point in my life where I am ready to settle down and commit. I have a great deal to offer. I am gentle and kind. I live in a beautiful home with an
indoor in ground swimming pool.
I also have a game room that has to be seen to be believed. I have a home theater that can accommodate 32 people. The screen is almost as big as in the cinema.
I have three dogs and two cats. I also have a three story aquarium with a transparent elevator that allows you to see my indoor ocean complete with dolphins and numerous exotic sea life. I even have an octopus. Don't worry; there are no sharks. I love nature so much that I allowed it to move in with me.
If we hit it off so to speak; I am open to a live in girlfriend. My place is too big for one person. I am looking for a kind lady that loves to have fun; indoors and out. "

I almost want to write to him and suggest he write more about HIM and less about his three-story aquarium and 32-seat home theater system...

Ha. Sounds more like that ad should be in the classifieds under "Bedroom for rent" section, LOL.

Last week a guy wrote me about his "gorgeous real estate and fast cars" yes that was in his ad - so I wrote him back and said to him, "we're not on the same page but good luck" however it sounds to me like your trying to entice women by writing (insert what I just typed) which clearly sends the wrong message and you may end up attracting the wrong type of woman just as an FYI.

I see a lot of these types of ad's and you're right they sound contradictory they may brag about all their material goods, mention nothing about them and insert "please no gold diggers" -- I bet you those guys are looking to get LAID and nothing more, waddayahthink?

Ugh, still full from Turkey Day - I eat so much I was in serious pain last night, LOL

Taking this post seriously for a minute, if a guy has a home theatre, gameroom and an inground swimming pool as well as a 10 story acquarium complete with fish escalator, you can bet your darned tooty that he never leaves the house now and has no plan to do so in the future.
