Well, I got a return wink from a guy on Match Thursday & we exchanged a couple of emails Friday & Saturday. I sent him another this morning just to ask how his weekend was & he sent this:

I am glad you are feeling better. I like your style and you seem like a really interesting person that I woud love to keep chatting with but unfortunately I found someone else over the weekend (not on Match). I wish you all the very best.

Wow! That was fast! He went from being interested & having a bunch of questions for me, gushing about how it's cool that he was finally talking to someone who was fascinated with travel. Then he met someone overnight it seems.

It's probably a blow-off...who knows if this other person exists. It's just interesting.

Yeah, sounds like a cop out excuse ... but ... HE is the one missing out!

Yep, no doubt. My friend Monty (who has a GF) said I was the perfect woman. Someone will eventually appreciate that.

I've actually had that happen more than once.

well, I have had that happen and it was definitely a let the girl down easy approach. But who knows, I actually sent that kind of message to a very nice guy who I was just getting to know online (Chemistry). I had met a guy IRL and knew I wanted to focus on him and give up the dating a bunch of different people thing. I'm still with that guy, 4 mos now. The guy online is now dating a friend of mine at school, actually she's a better match for him than I would be.

She could be someone he had been dating already who he decided to be exclusive with. I highly doubt he would meet someone that spectacular and decide to be exclusive after just a couple days of knowing her. Maybe he just wasn't interested in pursuing you anymore. Odd though that he acted that into you and then boom, no interest

Not for nothing, but I think he could have done without telling you "I met someone else (not on Match)."

i agree that it could have been a cop out excuse but i guess that's another thing i dont get about guys. Why would you say things like, oh we have lots in common, you seem great, so glad we're talking, if you werent really interested? I cant even put it into words right now i guess...but it doesnt make sense. He must have felt unsure about you if two days later he'd be saying, i met someoen else...so why would he say all thsoe things he said to you? lol, i just dont get it
