Yesterday's Meet and Greet

Well guys I had an interesting evening last night so here it goes:

I met the Police officer last night at Starbuck's. I arrived and noticed his vehicle, went into Starbuck's and didn't see him (pretty crowded). Then I left and noticed his vehicle backing out. I walked towards him and he drove in my direction -- was wondering if he was leaving. Anyway he parked and we just chatted briefly by my vehicle in the parking lot. Nope, didn't feel anything (no chemistry) and he looked very young (baby-face). Regardless, the conversation was superficial and at the end of the date he said "well, hopefully you will call me". I replied "me, call you?" and he replied "I'm interested!" and we both left saying we would call each other. Whatever!

So, I left feeling lil bummed and headed to Marshalls and found two shirts for $14.00. I was pleased! (smile) Then I get a call on my cell from Erick (Sunday's meet). He asked me what I was doing, told him and lo and behold I'm right down the street from where he works. So he was about to go on break and he said well since u are in the area come by and meet me for a second. I did and met Erick. Well guys, NOTHING -- I didn't feel a thing (no chemistry). We chatted briefly and he was excited to have met me. We did talk again last night but when we ended the call, I felt bummed. Now I find out he is financially struggling (but has a plan) -- don't they all!! Double Bummer!!

Now it's 8:00 pm and the phone rings again and it's James. Forgot to mention him but he is a teacher and we had been chatting. Really had not heard from him in about a week and was busy with others, that I forgot about him. Anyway he was just chilling at home and wanted me to come to his house to meet! WTF? Anyway I told him I was not comfortable with that but we could meet at a bookstore. This JERK told me that he had 3 glasses of wine and that he didn't feel safe driving, and he is a teacher and his reputation is important to him and he is a gentleman and please come over. I immediately hung up the phone and blocked him! What an A-HOLE!!!

So I drove and headed to TJ Maxx (feeling bummed) and found another shirt ($9.99) and then went home. It was better to shop then head for my Ben & Jerry's fix -- which I eventually gave into (after the phone call with Erick) (LOL) Whew, talk about 3 strikes all within ONE DAY (less than 2 hours)! I was crushed!!

I guess most will say, well wait and see if you go out with any of these guys (except James) again. I am truly not enthused!!

Well I woke up this morning feeling a lil blue, and got to work and received the email from Erick (whatever!) and then I saw the light.....there from Ticketmaster was notification that "Rob Thomas" was going to be in Atlanta!! Yippee!!! He is sooo cute and love his music and hopefully he will be performing with his old group Matchbox 20. As usual, I'll buy my one ticket and head to the show!!! LOL

Ding, Ding, Ding, NEXT!!!! I guess I'll start chatting with the other 2-3 guys in the wings.

WHATEVER!!!! I prefer to dream about Rob Thomas till the concert!! (smile)

Well, life is NOT boring! LOL. That was fun to read, even if it had you a little bummed! Thanks for sharing. At least there are more waiting in the wings! :)

Hello as a fellow 'sista' I totally get your angst about impecunious 'brodas'.

That said, since you have a pavlovian response to bum meets, try "Valu city". where else could you buy an escada pair of jeans for under 25bucks or a danna buckman suit for under fifty
theres quite a few in Atl.
Still better luck with the men, dont settle. The broke arse ones are big trouble down the line. (speaking from experience)LOL.

"I find that they do not like a woman that can intimidate them. And if you are remotely smart, you easily intimidate them."

Or they're just not that into you.

I would advise you to avoid the police like the plague and not just when you are drunk, high, or having some other type of fun. They tend to be more low class, dumber, and more shifty than the criminals that they are hired to catch. You say that this Eric character is financially struggling. Try to find a man who can at least support himself and pay his own bills. I think the next thing he was going to do was ask you for money if you lingered on in the conversation with him much longer. Yikes! When he said he was struggling financially he was probably hoping that you would offer him some money. Good riddance I say. Now as for the alcoholic teacher James. He is only a teacher. Remember what I said about financial stability earlier. Beware of guys who make booty calls while they are drunk. He wanted you to meet him at his house after he got drunk! WTF! He can't have intimacy with a women sober? Whoa he must have some severe performance anxiety, a small pecker, premature ejaculation, or failure to even get hard much less stay erect, or more likely all of the above! Or he is gay and in denial. So he has to get drunk every time he tries to even attempt to sleep with a woman. He is a raging alcoholic closet homosexual. Better call Dr. Phil and tell him that this is going to have to be a two hour show. In conclusion, I say you are much better off without these three boneheads.
