How old are you?

What's the youngest you'd date?

What's the oldest you'd date?

Is there any way you'd be flexible about this?

What was the biggest age discrepancy ever between you and someone you dated? And how old were each of you at the time?

My responses:

I'm 35

The youngest I'd date is 30.

The oldest I'd date is 42.

I can be flexible in either direction. I take it on a case-by-case basis. As far as going younger is concerned, the guy would have to be mature and responsible. He'd have to be more or less in the same place in life that I am - and ready to settle down into a long-term, commited relationship. As far as going older is concerned, he'd have to be young looking and young-at-heart. I can't see myself dating anyone of any age whose lifestyle

I'm 49.

The youngest I would date is 40 and the oldest 55. My current BF is 46, so he's kind of in the middle. :)

I wouldn't be too flexble, especially going younger. I find that, for the most part, I don't connect well with men too much younger.

The biggest age descrepancy was 8 years and that was last year. I was 48 and he was 40.

How old are you? 46/47

What's the youngest you'd date? 40

Is there any way you'd be flexible about this? No

The father of my children. He was 40 and I was 28 at the time. He went even younger the next time, 15 years age difference.

Really? If a guy who was otherwise perfect for you on paper emailed you, you wouldn't write back if he, say, turned 51 last month?

I don't want someone in their 50s. Any perfect match I've winked at didn't feel the same way. I don't believe my stand will be challenged!

37

50

Possibly if the person had traits I really liked and there was chemistry there.

I had a fling with a 24 yr old when I was 44 - it was great sex and all about sex but I found that I couldn't do it again, just too weird... my kid's age!

The guy I have been dating exclusively for the past 3 months is 37, so 9 years younger than me. He is mature for his age and we get along great and have many common interests.

But I find I get along better with guys younger than myself, well later 30's mostly, because they have more energy and like to do things like I do, more so than the guys in their later 40's who mainly want to hang around at the house (whuch is fine sometimes but not every weekend!). The oldest I've dated was 49 and I was 45.

Also, honestly, the 30's guys have less problems in the sexual area than the 40's guys that I've known. But luckily there is Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis! ;)

I have never dated anyone over 50, but might consider them if they interested me.

How old are you?

~ I'm 27

What's the youngest you'd date?

~I tend to like to date younger guys, but the absolute youngest I would date now would be 22 or 23. (my current bf is 25)

What's the oldest you'd date?

~I might go up to about 30 or 31

Is there any way you'd be flexible about this?

~Of course- it totally depends on the person. There are guys my age who are so immature and act like teenagers, and there are also guys alot younger than me who are very mature for their age.

What was the biggest age discrepancy ever between you and someone you dated? And how old were each of you at the time?

~My first serious boyfriend was 3 years older than me which was a bit of a big deal at the time (to my parents anyway) as he was 19 and I was only 16. My current boyfriend is slightly more than 2 years younger than me. (although he acts alot older than me :) )

I'm 36.

I'd date a 23 or 24 year old, but she'd really really really have to have her stuff together.

I'd date up to about 37, 38 or so.

I'd be more flexible on the age thing if the woman were really hot or really terrific in the sack.

The biggest age discrepancy between me and someone I've dated would probably be my present gf, who is 5 years younger than me. Unless you count mental age, in which case it'd be a gf I had for several months when I was 25. She was 22 but was VERY young in her outlook on life and such; there was more room in the 3 years between us than there is in the 5 years between me and the present gf.

But all this is more or less a moot point- I'm pretty darned delighted with the present gal, who is simply splendid. :)

How old are you? 36 but I look younger or so I've been told/

What's the youngest you'd date? 30

What's the oldest you'd date? 40

My age range until tonight was EXACTLY the same as yours. Then again I was the same age as you until a week ago: darned birthdays :) However, after trying to be flexible and going out with a 47 year old man tonight I have changed it from 30-42 to 30-40. He just seemed soooo old and I can't imagine that 5 years less would make much of a difference. I started a thread about this date before I saw this thread but I will repeat it here. Even though it was only 11 years, I felt like he could be my dad. I felt soooo YOUNG! I felt 22 but not in a good way. There wasn't a gap, there was a chasm! I feel icky and the worst he did was play with my hair and make one or two midly suggestive remarks. So, no there is NO WAY I could be flexible about my top age range any more other than say for a 41 year old. Dating 29 would seem weird but probably less creepy than dating "my dad".

What was the biggest age discrepancy ever between you and someone you dated? And how old were each of you at the time?

Prior to the 47 year old the oldest person I had dated was born in 1964 and the youngest in 1974. +/- 5 years. I plan to stick to that more or less.

I have just entered a "relationship" stage with a person who is 27. I never thought it would be possible but I like most of the things about him and age doesn't seem to matter.
The oldest I dated when I was 22 - he was 41. Would not do that again.
