Advantages of Being Single

Okay everyone..

since most of us want a relationship ( me too) there are still advantages of being single to a degree.

I was reading some of the other boards on divorce, kids, low libido, sex, abuse, problems in relationships, etc.etc. and then I thought..Wow;; I have none of those problems right now..

I dont have to worry about sexual dysfunctional men because I dont have to partner with one like that.. So I can find one who hopefully will suit me sexually. I am reading where couples masturbate and use vibrators while their husband or wife or partner is lying in bed right next to them. The partner is not engaging in any sexual activity with their own mate.. How sad...

I can spend money the way I want .. I dont have to share bills with a man and he cant tell me what to do with my money. When I read about men who spend a ton ofmoney on themselves and leave their gfriends or wives bankrupt I cant imagine..

I dont have to clean a man's house or deal with his small children or adult children.Go to their graduations or weddings or meet their relatives on holidays...

I can come and go as I please and not have to wait around for someone to ask me out or go somewhere with me. I go on my own and answer to no one.

I dont have to worry about the man's ex wives and if he is paying child support or alimony and wondering if he is visiting his exwife behind my back and having sex with her.

Dont have to worry about a man gambling or drinking or cheating on me because if I do meet someone I will grill him to the point of knowing he does none of these things.

The list goes on and on.

Of course its normal to have someone in our lives and we all on

Everything you said above! I will add that I like that I can lay in bed or on the couch all day on a Saturday or Sunday, watching Lifetime movies or other guility pleasures without having to answer to anybody and without someone underfoot or staring at me, wondering what "we" are going to do today.

I don't have to worry about being "skinny" enough, dressing to please a man.

Now, if I found someone I really wanted, that could all change.

Crickets....guess some of the others here do NOT see the advantages of being single!

I do. I've just made the list about 200 times on this board now and don't really have anything new to add. Plus, most of the positives are things I'd give up in a heartbeat to actually have someone who loves me.

Maybe it's just that it's Sunday.

I think that point is rather moot for most of us here!

well...yeah....I think that is what we are getting at. Unless a guy comes around that is worth all of these compromises....I will happily remain single. The men I have met so far are SO not worth the sacrifice.
